Meet Abby

Abby Godard is an Emmy-nominated seasoned politics producer and off-air reporter with over a decade of experience in media and public policy. She has produced for major news programs including Meet the Press, NBC Nightly News, the TODAY show, NBC News NOW, and MSNBC, where she has delivered long-form interviews, breaking news, and original reporting. During the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Abby reported from across the country for NBC’s affiliate stations and international partners. Her work also includes on-the-ground coverage of global conflicts, including the Israel-Hamas war, where she produced original reporting on the siege of al-Shifa hospital in Gaza. Most recently, her reporting took her to South America, where she covered the election of Pope Leo XIV in both Spanish and English from Chiclayo, Peru, where he previously served as Bishop.
